About us
Working with Jillayna
As a former teen that struggled with suicidality, I can say that man, I get it. And “Getting it” totally informs the way I approach teens and suicide.
Our teens are amazing, and are navigating such a difficult, confusing world. Because of this changing world, I work to meet my teens where they are at, and some of this means doing things a little bit differently. Therapy with me can be a little radical.
I believe in and employ radical and personalized approaches to mental health that align with village-building, connection and cross-cultural understanding. Our teens desperately need connection and seeing. I am endlessly striving to understand and better mental wellness, and the psycho-social implications of the modern western world on mental health. Modern technology, a global pandemic and social-political factors have greatly changed the landscape of teen mental health, including increasing rates of suicide and suicide ideation. I am committed to the latest research on suicide prevention and training.
