IRL Teen Group
Connection and Coping Skills ARE Suicide Prevention.
If your teenager(s) would benefit from In Real Life connection and creative and therapeutic projects that empower identity, confidence and mental wellness, this group might be for you! IRL brings connection and evidenced based tools to understand the science of human happiness, and how to combat depression and anxiety. IRL is laid back, creative, and real. Projects will be chill, and include paint, clay, collage, writing– but you don’t need to be an ‘artist’!!
IRL is led by licensed psychotherapist, Jillayna Adamson, who specializes in adolescents, mothers and cross-cultural mental health. With countless hours of suicide training from leading suicide researchers, Jillayna brings expertise, lived experience with suicidality, and “getting it” into the group room. This group focuses on empowerment on combating depression and anxiety, and the tricky “how” of human happiness. Perfect for teens grappling with depression, anxiety, isolation or struggles in confidence.
Parents/Teachers will be provided with a packet of helpful tools their teens will be learning, and tips to stay connected and encourage wellness habits.
